Here's The Role

The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has been serving Texans since 1934, when the state Legislature tasked us with improving life across the region. Back then, we built the chain of dams that tamed the unpredictable lower Colorado River and brought electricity to rural Central Texas for the very first time.

Fast forward to today, and that mission still fuels everything we do. For nearly a century, we’ve been finding new ways to enhance the lives of the Texans we serve. Now we’re looking for the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and changemakers to help us write our next chapter.

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented individual to join our Transmission Cost Estimating team. As LCRA continues to grow there is a critical need to understand how much we expect projects to cost, which in turn informs our near-term and long-term financial needs.

This intern will help to yield improved forecasts of spend, better visibility, an additional control point, and support of regulatory needs. They will also serve as a conduit to provide vital feedback to other departments and stakeholders to drive process improvements, and ultimately improve project cost estimate accuracy and timeliness.
