 About the RoleÂ
The HR Generalist is a foundational member of the Aftermath Services Human Resources team, responsible for the day-to-day administration of our HR operations, including but not limited to employee relations, compliance, safety, workers’ compensation, and recruiting and onboarding support. This position is well suited to a detail-oriented, service-focused HR professional who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and excited to grow their generalist capabilities as our systems and processes are established.Â
What You'll DoÂ
General HR AdministrationÂ
- Maintain accurate employee records and support day-to-day HR documentation and reportingÂ
- Assist with developing and communicating HR policies and proceduresÂ
- Support leadership with projects and initiatives as our HR infrastructure evolvesÂ
Compliance, Safety & Workers’ CompensationÂ
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsÂ
- Oversee workers’ compensation administration and maintain required safety and compliance documentationÂ
- Support audit activities and ensure accurate recordkeepingÂ
Recruiting & Onboarding SupportÂ
- Coordinate job postings, candidate communications, background screenings, and pre-employment requirementsÂ
- Help ensure a smooth and compliant hiring and onboarding experienceÂ
Employee Relations SupportÂ
- Serve as a frontline resource for employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and general employment mattersÂ
- Conduct employee interviews related to employee relations mattersÂ
- Facilitate and manage the interactive processÂ
- Support consistent policy application and document employee relations activitiesÂ
- Escalate complex matters as appropriate to ensure fair and compliant people practicesÂ
What We're Looking ForÂ
Basic QualificationsÂ
- 2–4+ years of HR experience with demonstrated strength in payroll and benefits administrationÂ
- Working knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and applicable wage and hour complianceÂ
- Familiarity with federal leave laws including FMLA, ADA, and COBRAÂ
- Proficiency with Paylocity experience strongly preferredÂ
- Experience with benefits administration, including open enrollment and carrier coordinationÂ
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesÂ
- Effective written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentÂ
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of relevant HR work experience will be considered in lieu of a degreeÂ
- Experience supporting workers’ compensation administration and OSHA recordkeepingÂ
- Experience working in a multi-state employer environmentÂ
- Background in a field services, operations, or distribution environment a plusÂ
