Duties (summary): The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the organization's accounts payable function while supporting general accounting activities, financial reporting, and the monthly close process. This role combines strong operational accounting with technical accounting responsibilities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely vendor payments, and compliance with internal controls.

Requirements
Candidate Profile:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or finance required, with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including substantial accounts payable responsibility. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Â
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; experience with AP automation platforms such as Bill.com, Divvy, or similar, preferred.
- Healthcare, physician-practice, multi-location, and/or multi-entity accounting experience, preferred.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
