Job Description Summary:

Our Material Handler position at our Auburndale, FL manufacturing facility plays a critical role in supporting seamless operations by managing materials from the moment they arrive to the point they are ready for production and shipment. This role is essential in maintaining product flow, ensuring quality standards, and helping us meet consumer demand consistently while embodying our commitment to safety and operational excellence. We are seeking a detail-oriented, safety-focused team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability across our supply chain.
What You’ll Do for Us
  • Move products to and from trucks, storage racks, and designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate materials handling throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards to uphold quality and compliance requirements.
  • Use portable computer terminals and scanning devices to accurately record product movements by item number, lot code, location, and truck number.
  • Maintain accurate manual documentation of product transactions during system downtime or offline operations.
  • Complete and document daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and related equipment to ensure operational safety.
  • Demonstrate consistent adherence to safety initiatives and compliance with company safety policies, promoting a secure work environment for all team members.
  • Perform all assigned tasks with attention to quality, service, and cost targets while following established standard operating procedures.
  • Support quality and production teams by ensuring efficient and correct material handling that aligns with shift and production schedules.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify improvement opportunities in workflow efficiency and workplace safety.
  • Contribute to a culture of operational reliability and product integrity within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year in material handling, warehouse operations, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Current forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification prior to operating equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Comfortable working 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, with flexibility to support weekends, holidays, and overtime based on business needs.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. across distances of 10 feet or more in adherence with safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to workplace safety practices and GMP compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications and handheld scanning technology for inventory tracking.
  • Capability to learn and follow standardized processes for recording product movements and completing operational documentation.
  • Ability to complete position-specific training and certification requirements within the designated timeframe
