Position Summary: 

The Engineer applies specialized training and experience in areas of electrical project engineering and design to develop solutions for inoLECT clients. This technical expert will develop models or simulations of systems and conduct engineering studies. Additionally, the Engineer will perform system design for complex projects on the inoLECT products and services list, according to inoLECT and customer standards of quality and efficiency.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assure that the enterprise and its mission, programs and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to all stakeholders (internal and external).   

• Work with the Engineering Manager to develop new and expand existing business processes.

• Provide first level of on-site customer support between enterprise and stakeholders. 

• Properly manage all aspects of Engineering Projects according to inoLECT standards and best practices in project management. 

• Demonstrate knowledge and continuously improve knowledge of Power System Protection and Control concepts, for the purpose of training staff and increasing inoLECT’s expertise. 

• Be able and willing to work out of town. 

• Understand and follow applicable equipment and clearance procedures and safety practices. 

• Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications, in the time allotted. 

• Maintain all required professional and safety certifications for the position of Professional Engineer. 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours of work are variable depending on projects and travel, but based on 40 hours per week. Although rare, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. TRAVEL Travel Requirements are 15% to 20% local and 5% overnight 


QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Electrical Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited program. 

• A Professional Engineers License or the ability to acquire a license within 2 years of hire date. 
• 5+ years of experience with Power System Engineering and specifically with Protective Relays, System Studies and Infrastructure Design. 

• Preferred: NICET Level 3 certified

 • Must have a current TWIC. 

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to maintain appropriate safety certifications and a TWIC 

• Be able to pass pre-employment and ongoing, random employment drug screens. 

• Complete a satisfactory pre-employment and ongoing employment background checks. 

• Be able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time. 

• Maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. 

• Perform occasional field work both indoors and outdoors. 

• Required: Must be authorized to work in the United States   

• Demonstrate high-quality verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate well in English (speaking, listening, writing and reading) and all categories must be in the Good range (26-30) on the TOEFL exam if English is a second language.
