RaceTrac Company Overview

Job Description:

The Talent Sourcer proactively identifies, engages, and develops relationships with prospective talent to support RaceTrac's hiring needs. Operating within a shared, flexible sourcing team, this role focuses on talent mapping, pipeline development, market research, and candidate engagement to ensure a continuous flow of qualified, diverse candidates for current and future opportunities. Serving as a talent-market expert, the Talent Sourcer leverages sourcing tools, technology, and networking strategies to build diverse talent pipelines and strengthen RaceTrac's ability to attract top talent. The role partners closely with Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Business Partners, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to understand workforce needs and develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives — feeding qualified pipelines that reduce time to fill and time to hire.

What You'll Do:

Talent Identification & Pipeline Development

  • Proactively source talent through online platforms, professional networks, referrals, industry associations, events, and direct outreach.

  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines and communities for critical, difficult-to-fill, and future-focused roles.

  • Create sourcing strategies tailored to specific business units, job families, and labor markets.

  • Continuously expand talent networks and candidate pools, and deploy sourcing capacity against the highest-priority and highest-volume needs.

Candidate Engagement

  • Conduct outreach campaigns and build relationships with passive and active talent.

  • Articulate RaceTrac's employee value proposition (EVP) and career opportunities as an initial point of contact for prospective candidates.

  • Maintain regular communication to foster long-term engagement and conduct initial screens before hand-off to Recruiters.

Talent Market Intelligence

  • Monitor labor-market conditions, workforce trends, and competitive hiring activity.

  • Conduct talent mapping and workforce-availability analysis.

  • Provide insights on talent supply, geographic markets, and emerging skill trends, and recommend innovative sourcing approaches.

Diversity & Inclusion Sourcing

  • Develop sourcing strategies that promote broad and diverse candidate representation.

  • Identify partnerships, networks, and talent communities that expand access to qualified talent.

  • Support RaceTrac's diversity hiring objectives through proactive outreach and pipeline development.

Sourcing Operations, Tools & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate candidate records within the ATS and candidate-relationship-management (CRM) tools, including Workday.

  • Track sourcing activity, pipeline metrics, and candidate-engagement data to support speed and efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and recruiting processes.

  • Support continuous improvement of recruiting technology, sourcing methodologies, and candidate experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years in talent sourcing, recruiting, sales, customer relationship management, business development, or a related field.

  • Strong research and networking capabilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence without direct authority.

  • Proficiency with recruiting technologies and sourcing platforms; Workday experience preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience sourcing talent within corporate, professional, technical, operations, retail, or supply-chain environments.

  • Knowledge of candidate-relationship-management (CRM) and recruiting technologies.

  • Experience with labor-market analysis and workforce-planning concepts.

  • Familiarity with social recruiting and employer-branding strategies.

  • Advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search methodologies.
