GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Senior Director of Growth is responsible for advancing Alpha Delta Pi’s long-term growth strategy by identifying opportunities, designing scalable initiatives, and leading enterprise projects that strengthen membership growth, organizational competitiveness, and market position.

Serving as the organization’s strategic leader for growth initiatives, this role evaluates demographic, higher education, and membership trends to develop recommendations and initiatives that expand Alpha Delta Pi’s reach, strengthen engagement across the membership journey, and position the Sorority for sustained growth and relevance.

Working closely with the Chief Membership Experience Officer and cross-functional partners, the Senior Director of Growth connects market intelligence, organizational data, member insights, and industry trends to develop innovative growth strategies and lead initiatives that support Alpha Delta Pi’s long-term vision. This role serves as both a strategic thought partner and enterprise project leader, translating organizational priorities into measurable growth outcomes while ensuring Alpha Delta Pi remains competitive in an evolving higher education and fraternity landscape.

DUTIES PERFORMED

Enterprise Growth Strategy

  • Develop and recommend long-term organizational growth strategies aligned with Alpha Delta Pi’s strategic priorities and future vision.
  • Identify emerging opportunities that strengthen organizational reach, membership growth, and competitive position.
  • Lead enterprise growth initiatives that advance organizational priorities through cross-functional collaboration and strategic project management.
  • Evaluate demographic, enrollment, and higher education trends to inform future growth opportunities and organizational planning.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to organizational leadership regarding investments, opportunities, and initiatives that support sustainable growth.

Extension Strategy & Market Development

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of Alpha Delta Pi’s extension efforts, including market identification, opportunity assessment, campus relationship development, implementation planning, and post-project evaluation.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for organizational growth through campus expansion and market analysis.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to organizational leadership regarding investments, opportunities, and initiatives that support sustainable growth.

Membership Growth & Lifecycle Innovation 

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen engagement across the membership journey in partnership with organizational leadership.
  • Recommend innovative strategies that enhance membership pipeline development, engagement pathways, and organizational relevance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore new approaches to recruitment, engagement, and member experience that support long-term growth objectives.

Growth Intelligence, Database Strategy & Strategic Projects

  • Partner with the Data & Strategy Team to translate organizational data, research, and market intelligence into actionable growth strategies.
  • Contribute to the strategic utilization of database and engagement systems to improve visibility into member pipelines, engagement trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Lead high-priority cross-functional growth initiatives and enterprise projects as assigned by organizational leadership.
  • Synthesize insights from multiple sources to inform strategic recommendations and support executive decision-making.

Strategic Partnerships & Growth Leadership

  • Serve as a visible and professional representative of Alpha Delta Pi in campus, volunteer, industry, and professional settings that advance organizational growth objectives.
  • Build collaborative relationships across staff teams, volunteers, campus partners, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional projects and organizational initiatives related to growth, membership experience, and strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to organizational planning discussions and provide recommendations related to growth opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving industry practices and recommend innovative approaches that support organizational competitiveness and sustainability.
  • Lead relationship development with campus partners and external stakeholders to strengthen Alpha Delta Pi’s presence and expansion opportunities.

SUGGESTED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership or professional experience.
  • Experience in extension, recruitment strategy, business development, organizational growth, higher education, or membership-based organizations required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from strategy through execution.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to analyze trends, assess opportunities, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Alpha Delta Pi preferred. Experience in a membership-based, volunteer-driven, or higher education environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Extension exploratory visits, campus presentations, and on-site extension support throughout the year

  • Conference travel and professional development opportunities as determined by supervisors (throughout the year)

EMPLOYMENT LOCATION 

Alpha Delta Pi’s Executive Office in Atlanta, GA preferred; remote work may be considered. Remote work is not eligible in the following states: CA, NY, NJ, HI, AK. Atlanta-based staff participate in a hybrid work schedule that may be granted after the first 90 days of employment. Alpha Delta Pi reserves the right to change work status with notice to employee.
