Location: Arlington, TX (Hybrid)

ABOUT THE UFL

The United Football League (UFL) is the premier professional spring football league, powered by the visionary leadership and investment of Mike Repole and Impact Capital, RedBird Capital Partners, FOX, Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson, and ESPN. Built on innovation, accessibility, and competitive excellence, the UFL delivers a dynamic professional football experience for players, fans, and partners alike. The league currently features eight teams and is focused on building the next era of spring football, with expansion planned for 2028 and beyond.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Eight teams. Eight voices. One social force driving fandom, culture, and conversation. We’re looking for a Sr. Manager, Social Media (Teams) who’s ready to make some noise. Someone who knows that eight team accounts shouldn’t feel like eight versions of the same playbook. You’ll help shape the social strategy across UFL’s team accounts, giving each team a distinct identity, personality, and voice that fans can recognize instantly. You’ll bring the strategy, creativity, and cultural instincts to turn games, players, rivalries, behind-the-scenes moments, and everything in between into social that people actually want to follow.

This is a builder’s role—you’re not here to maintain the status quo. You’re here to create what’s next. You'll set the standard for what team social looks like at a disruptive, fan-first football league, then get in the trenches with each team to make it happen, translating the UFL's vision into eight distinct city identities without sanding off what makes each one loud in its own way.

You'll lead, coach, and set the bar for the team social producers across the league, while staying hands-on enough to jump into a group chat during a game-week crunch or ride a viral moment before it cools off. Working closely with the Sr. Director, Digital & Content, you'll drive fan engagement, audience growth, and cultural relevance for our teams with the same grit and second-chance mentality our players bring to the field every single Saturday.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own social strategy and day-to-day execution across all eight UFL team accounts: set the standard, then give each team room to flex its own personality, market, and fan base.

  • Lead, coach, and set the bar for team social media producers league-wide; build the playbooks, training, and career path for the team social bench.

  • Translate league-wide brand strategy and priorities (set with the Sr. Director, Digital & Content) into team-level content, calendars, and campaigns that don't feel like anyone else's.

  • Manage content calendars and real-time game-day coverage plans across all eight markets.

  • Drive audience growth and engagement across team channels; spot what's working on one team's account and get it scaled league-wide before the trend dies.

  • Lead short-form video strategy at the team level in partnership with team producers and the league content team.

  • Execute team-level sponsorship and partner deliverables across social, making sure corporate partner and league commitments land with quality, on time, every time.

  • Serve as the connective tissue between the eight team social leads - sharing best practices, trend intel, and a little healthy trash talk across markets.

  • Monitor player, team, and league social activity to catch trending and rapid-response opportunities; get teams moving on them before the window closes.

  • Partner cross-functionally with league Communications, Partnerships, Ticketing, and Team Marketing to make sure social output is pulling in the same direction as the business.

  • Report on team-level social performance, trends, and recommendations to the Sr Director, Digital & Content and league leadership.

  • Represent the team social perspective in league-wide digital and content planning, making sure the teams' voice shapes the bigger strategy, not the other way around.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • 7+ years of experience in social/digital content, including experience managing or mentoring other social media professionals.

  • Experience managing social strategy across multiple brands, teams, or accounts simultaneously. (League, multi-team, franchise, or agency environments strongly preferred)

  • A track record of scaling social strategy across a distributed team without flattening it into one boring, corporate voice.

  • Deep understanding of the sports social landscape established and emerging platforms, and audience growth tactics; real appetite for and knowledge of football required.

  • Strong reliance on analytics and data to back up the calls you make, not just the ones that feel right.

  • Hands-on experience with live, real-time game-day social coverage and rapid-response content - comfortable calling an audible when the moment demands it.

  • Familiarity with content production tools and workflows, including Adobe Creative Suite.

  • A start-up mentality and a thick skin; you push for the idea that makes people nervous, not just the safe one.

  • Energetic, direct, and unafraid to make some noise.
