PRIMARY PURPOSE

CNA’s internship program allows interns to be part of a team to learn specific skills and assist with the completion of various projects during their time at CNA. Some of the business operations divisions / teams include Chief Information Office (CIO), Chief Finance Office (CFO), People Operations (POP / HR), Research Publications Group (RPG), Legal, Communications, Strategic Initiatives (SIN), and Project Administration Group (PAG).

 

CNA is hiring for an IT Service Desk Intern. The IT Service Desk Internship at CNA offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a blend of technical acumen and writing skills to contribute to the efficiency of our IT operations. This intern will be responsible for providing first-level support to internal users, addressing technical queries, and troubleshooting issues. This role is ideal for those looking to apply their knowledge in a practical setting while gaining experience in drafting and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT service delivery.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND/OR DUTIES 

  • Provide support to internal stakeholders in support of overall project goals, objectives, and deliverables. 
  • Conduct research for assigned projects. 
  • Assist in analyzing data gathered in support of a project. 
  • Provide general communications support to the team. 
  • Provide targeted logistical support as necessary (scheduling, note taking). 
  • Provide excellent customer support. 
  • Perform other general duties as assigned. 

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

  • Education: Must be in junior or final year of bachelor’s degree at the start of the internship, or enrollment in a graduate program (field of study of Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information. Preferred Security Plus certification.
  • Experience: Undergraduate level coursework and experience preferred. 
  • Skills: Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; critical thinking and organizational skills
