Cybersecurity Analyst and Administrator

The Opportunity:

As a Cybersecurity Analyst and Systems Administrator, you understand that protecting mission critical systems requires more than alert triage or basic monitoring. You understand the nuances of complex cybersecurity environments across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and emerging Zero Trust architectures. We’re looking for an expert like you to help safeguard the digital backbone of the Joint Staff’s mission systems and ensure resilient, compliant, and trusted information environments for the nation.

Supporting the Joint Staff, you will help maintain, secure, and modernize the application ecosystem adhering to the Joint Doctrine, Education, and Training Electronic Information System (JDEIS), including the Joint Electronic Library (JEL) used for doctrine publishing, the secure JEL+ environment for controlled content, and the Joint Doctrine Development Tool that supports the creation and coordination of Joint Publications.

We’re looking for a seasoned Cybersecurity Analyst capable of navigating high‑visibility security requirements, managing complex Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, coordinating with the DoD and system owners, and ensuring secure and compliant operations of mission‑critical DoD systems. You will play a central part in maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) packages, executing RMF processes, safeguarding classified and unclassified systems, supporting Zero Trust implementation, and ensuring cybersecurity readiness across platforms. This is your chance to apply your operational, analytical, and engineering expertise to a mission that directly strengthens the nation’s strategic cyber resilience.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
  • Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • Experience executing or supporting RMF activities and the ATO lifecycle for DoD information systems
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and reviewing cybersecurity documentation, including software modernization implementation plans, suspicious activity reporting, project plans, security controls, and monitoring artifacts
  • Experience supporting security control assessments, documenting findings, and tracking remediation activities
  • Experience supporting vulnerability remediation, including patching, configuration compliance, and validation testing
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, standards, and Zero Trust concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including system diagrams, baselines, deployment procedures, and compliance reports
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Associate’s degree and 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or information security, or Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or information security
  • Cybersecurity DoDM 8140.03 IAT level 1 and 2, Cybersecurity DoDM 8140.03 IAM level 1 and 2, and Cyber Defense Certifications such as A+, Network+, SSCP, CCNA Security, CAP, GSLC, Security+ CE, CEH, GCIA, CSIH, or GCIH Certification

  • Experience in systems administration, administering servers, privileged accounts, enterprise applications, or secure configurations
  • Experience performing database maintenance, backups, updates, and troubleshooting
