Position Summary
The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting payroll operations for Frandsen Bank and Trust and benefits administration across all Frandsen Companies. This role is responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, employee inquiries, benefit billing, and compliance activities. The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting accurate and efficient payroll and benefit processes while delivering exceptional service to employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll
- Support end-to-end payroll processing for Frandsen Bank and Trust, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process employee payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, and direct deposit updates.
- Review payroll reports and identify discrepancies for resolution.
- Assist with payroll audits, year-end processing, and W-2 preparation.
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Benefits Administration
- Process benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and terminations.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit questions and requests.
- Complete benefit billing and reconciliation process.
- Support annual Open Enrollment planning, communication, and enrollment activities.
- Assist with administration of the 401(k) plan, including employee enrollments and contribution updates.
- Support leave of absence administration, including FMLA and other leave programs.
HRIS, Reporting, & Compliance
- Maintain accurate payroll and benefits information within the HRIS system.
- Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and required documentation.
- Ensure employee records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll, benefits, and personnel information.
Collaboration & Operational Support
- Provide outstanding customer service to employees, managers, and external vendors.
Qualifications
Preferred Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, human resources, accounting, or related administrative support role preferred.
- Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems preferred.
- Experience supporting benefits administration and employee programs preferred.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and benefits administration.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze information, identify issues, and resolve problems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
