The Land O'Lakes Accounting organization is currently seeking candidates to join our organization in a Talent Acceleration Program (TAP) Associate role. This role will provide the opportunity to learn a variety of tasks within our accounting organization. The TAP program is designed to offer rotational assignments during the first two years of the associate’s career. At Land O’Lakes, we have three separate business segments: Animal Nutrition, Dairy Foods, and Crop Inputs as well as corporate functions including, but not limited to, Corporate Accounting. The rotational assignments will span across two of these four potential areas of our business.
In addition to the rotational assignments, you will complete a pre-defined leadership development curriculum and obtain exposure to the Land O’Lakes Accounting senior leadership team.
During the two rotations, key learnings and responsibilities will potentially include performing monthly account reconciliations, researching, preparing, and posting journal entries, performing Cost Accounting tasks (i.e., maintaining product costing, reviewing work orders, reconciling product inventory), and other accounting tasks such as testing internal controls or preparing documentation and providing support for the external audit of our financial statements.
Experience-Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a graduation date of Dec 2026 or May 2027
GPA 3.0 or higher
Future ambitions to pursue further certification or education (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, or MBA) strongly desired
Successfully completed the Land O'Lakes internship program
Competencies-Skills Required:
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate with impact
Ability to effectively execute with focus and accountability
Demonstrate agility and be comfortable with change
Strong curiosity to learn new things and be a quick learner
Salary for this position is $69,000
