The Tank Farm Operator is accountable and responsible for the movement of oils between tanks, inbound and outbound loads and oil blends to meet established quality and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities: Transfer crude and refined, bleached, and deodorized (RBD) oils between storage tanks. Load and unload oils to and from tanker trucks, railcars, and flexi containers. Monitor valve settings and piping configurations to prevent cross-contamination during oil transfers. Operate and monitor oil movements using the SCADA system and manual valves. Pull representative product samples from tanks, railcars, tanker trucks, and flexi containers for Quality Control (QC) testing. Follow Tank Farm Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and accurate processing. Complete formula blends according to approved Quality Assurance (QA) SOPs and production requirements. Blend oils to specified Oleic values according to established procedures and instructions. Move ISO containers and shipping containers using a yard hostler truck. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to food safety guidelines. Properly use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses to the Superintendent of Operations and Plant Manager. Participate in audits and maintain audit-ready work areas. Follow all company safety policies, attend required safety meetings and tailgate discussions, and complete assigned work safely. Perform other duties as assigned. Food Safety Policy: Adams Group is committed to producing and distributing high-quality products through adherence to industry and regulatory standards. Everyone at Adams is involved in delivering safe food - within your scope of work you will be empowered to act to resolve food safety issues.     QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education level. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for safety, quality, and production requirements. Ability to safely operate or learn to operate processing equipment and computerized systems. Basic mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Ability to obtain required forklift and yard hostler certifications. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs. Required Qualifications Education and Experience: 3–5 years of experience operating processing equipment in a manufacturing, food processing, oil processing, or industrial environment. Skills and Competencies: Working knowledge of piping systems, valves, and oil transfer operations. Ability to understand and follow Tank Farm SOPs and established processing procedures. Ability to operate and monitor SCADA systems and manually controlled valves. Ability to identify proper valve settings and piping configurations to prevent product cross-contamination. Ability to accurately collect product samples for QC testing. Ability to follow approved blending formulas and adjust processes to meet product specifications. Intermediate proficiency with general computer applications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and food safety. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with coworkers and management. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Certifications/Licenses: Forklift certification required or the ability to obtain certification upon hire. Yard hostler certification required or the ability to obtain certification upon hire. Valid driver's license required. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in vegetable oil processing or edible oil manufacturing. Experience operating SCADA systems in a manufacturing or processing environment. Experience with tank farm operations, bulk liquid handling, or oil transfer systems. Experience with oil blending and Oleic value specifications. Experience operating yard hostler equipment. Working Conditions: Ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including outdoor environments. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by management. Work is performed in a manufacturing and tank farm environment with exposure to processing equipment, tanks, piping systems, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company safety and food safety requirements.
