Minimum Qualifications:

- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and welding safety standards.
- Physical ability to handle heavy materials and operate overhead cranes safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized welding program or institution (e.g., AWS Certified Welder).
- Experience working with stainless steel and brazing techniques.
- Knowledge of welding codes and standards such as ASME or AWS.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform arc welding, TIG, MIG, and flux core welding on a variety of metals including stainless steel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment to position heavy metal components safely.
- Conduct metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts prior to welding.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure all tools are in proper working condition.
