Job Description:

   

We are seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer to help Product Management and Development accelerate the requirements around customer transformation aaS journey. The successful candidate will help with the customer design and work directly with Product Management and Engineering on design architecture that is geared toward strategic migrations to a cloud solutions. This team member will work cross functionally from the business unit to outward facing GEOs, Partners and Customers. You will begin with identifying customer objectives and then develop best-practice guidelines. We are looking for a thought leader with strategic business mindset. The ideal candidate will use technical acumen and communication skills to problem solve, challenge the status quo and uncover cloud use cases. As a TME team member, you have a business outcome mindset, broad technical background, and are a driven problem-solver. You are a team player, use data to make decisions under ambiguous situations, advocate for the best customer-centric experiences, and use critical thinking to drive success and thought-leadership to drive resolution.

Job Family Definition:

Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.

The Successful Candidate Will 

  • Help orchestrate a near, mid, and long-term vision and strategy for the overall customer’s cloud transformation by collaborating with the development, product management and customers.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer engagement skills through all levels of an organization and develop long term relationships based on excellence.
  • Maintain a broad and in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing, to unlock opportunities for customers.
  • Create and maintain collateral for specific productions and solutions such as Videos, Podcasts, White Papers, Blogs, and FAQ documents.
  • Possess a strong background driving best practices seamlessly into solution delivery.
  • Accelerate customer adoption through education and enablement.
  • Be a thought leader across HPE data infrastructure organizations to knowledge share success mechanisms, and mentor junior team members.
  • Be able to build out and support data center infrastructure and experience setting up data center environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization projects.
  • AWS and or Azure certifications
  • Data Protection
  • SimpliVity and hyper-converged environments
  • Knowledge and expertise in security and ransomware
  • Proven track record of being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work in fast paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to credibly coordinate between project teams and customers to meet unique customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads multiple project teams of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.
  • Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
  • Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 6-10 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
  • Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
  • Evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
