Healthcare United is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in General Orthopedics and Total Joint Replacement to join a well-established, hospital-employed orthopedic practice in northwestern Illinois. This opportunity offers access to a newly constructed, state-of-the-art hospital, advanced surgical technology, and a strong referral base supporting a high-volume practice.

The incoming surgeon will primarily focus on general orthopedic procedures with an emphasis on total joint replacements while having the opportunity to incorporate additional subspecialty interests into their practice.   • Perform general orthopedic procedures with a primary focus on total hip and total knee replacements.
  • Utilize advanced robotic-assisted technology, including Mako Robotics.
  • Perform approximately 400 or more surgical cases annually.
  • Opportunity to incorporate up to 20–30% subspecialty procedures based on training and interests.
  • Participate in a shared 1:3 orthopedic call schedule.
  • Collaborate with an experienced orthopedic team consisting of physicians, physician assistants, and dedicated clinical support staff.
  • Provide high-quality surgical and outpatient orthopedic care.


Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joints preferred, or significant experience in total joint replacement.
  • Experience with or willingness to perform anterior approach total hip replacements.
  • Comfortable practicing in a busy, high-volume surgical environment.
  • Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
