Job Description
The Senior Human Resources Manager is a strategic and hands-on HR partner responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle at the location, including staffing, employee/labor relations, policy and compliance, and — where applicable — employee housing support. This role uses strong business acumen to partner confidently with the on-site management team on HR strategy, workforce planning, and general operations.Â

The Senior HR Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional level of service through influence, sound judgment, and effective prioritization, while ensuring all employees are treated fairly and consistently in accordance with federal and state employment law, and that all employees receive training required by corporate, state, and federal guidelines.Â
Job Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of HR professionals supporting the siteÂ

Lead positive employee relations efforts across the locationÂ

Drive talent management practices on-site, including goal planning, performance reviews, year-end merit planning, coaching, counseling, and succession planningÂ

Conduct annual review of compensation plans for hourly employeesÂ
-
Lead internal and external recruitment strategy for the siteÂ
-
Ensure compliance with corporate and federal/state HR-related regulations and requirementsÂ

Communicate benefits, policy, and other HR-related changes to employeesÂ
-
Train and coach management/supervisory staff on interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, counseling, diversity, discipline, and regulatory complianceÂ

Participate with the broader HR team on corporate-level projects and initiativesÂ

Track and report required HR metrics (e.g., diversity, local labor market data, turnover)Â

Maintain accurate and compliant electronic and paper employee recordsÂ

Participate in site-level objective settingÂ

Lead resolution of employee relations issues and conduct workplace investigations as neededÂ

Participate in safety and environmental initiatives as requiredÂ

Represent the company at job fairs and campus recruiting events, including local culinary schoolsÂ

Oversee the onboarding experience, with a focus on building a strong hospitality cultureÂ

Develop and implement programs to reduce turnoverÂ

Partner regularly with the General Manager & VP to address HR priorities and issues at the siteÂ

Oversee tracking of training records and hourly employee paperwork; maintain audit-ready employee filesÂ

Support employee housing operations as applicable, including coordinating housing policies, occupancy/eligibility administration, resolving housing-related employee concerns, and ensuring compliance with applicable housing regulations

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience Â
- 5+ Â years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist roleÂ
- PHR/SPHR certification requiredÂ
- Demonstrated experience in employment and recruiting functionsÂ
- Experience supporting employee housing programs a plusÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferredÂ
- Strong multi-tasking ability, with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsÂ
- Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organizationÂ
- Willingness to work event-based hours, including evenings and/or weekendsÂ
