Who We Are

LoadUp is on a mission to make removal and disposal simple, honest, and stress-free. Founded in 2014, we set out to disrupt an industry known for hidden fees and vague pricing and built a tech-powered platform that gives customers real-time, upfront pricing and access to a vetted network of local pros who show up and get it done. No guessing. No surprises. Just honest service, done right.

Today, we're one of the largest on-demand junk removal and home services platforms in the country, matching individuals and businesses nationwide with trusted providers for removal, disposal, assembly, and hourly labor.

We're one of Inc.'s 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies and have been a certified Great Place to Work® since 2019.

We're growing fast, and we're looking for talented, driven people who want to help us keep reimagining what this industry can be. If you're excited by the idea of building something real, moving quickly, and doing right by customers, join our mission!

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to own the day-to-day technology our employees depend on. This role covers end-user computing, office networking and connectivity, and the security controls that protect company and customer data.

Reporting to the CTO, you will be the primary point of contact for internal IT support and help establish reliable, secure technology practices as LoadUp continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Own employee IT onboarding and offboarding, including hardware, accounts, and access.

  • Maintain the office network, including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, network segmentation, address management, and cabling.

  • Monitor network and internet performance, including uptime, latency, and bandwidth.

  • Manage endpoint security, device enrollment, disk encryption, antivirus and endpoint detection, and operating system and application patching.

  • Maintain email and web security controls, including phishing and spam filtering and domain authentication.

  • Verify and configure new applications for employees.

  • Manage security awareness training and phishing simulations.

  • Manage IT vendors, hardware suppliers, internet service providers, and software subscriptions, and provide input for the technology budget.

  • Recommend cybersecurity processes and tools to help protect company applications and networks.

  • Support and troubleshoot conference room audio/video equipment and conferencing platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on IT support or systems administration experience, including experience as the primary technology resource for a company with 50+ employees.

  • Strong macOS and Google Workspace support skills.

  • Practical networking knowledge, including addressing and subnetting, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, basic routing, and wireless troubleshooting.

  • Experience with security controls including MFA, SSO, endpoint protection, patch management, disk encryption, and backup and recovery.

  • Ability to independently manage IT support priorities and communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical employees.

  • Experience supporting an ecommerce business where network or system downtime can directly impact revenue.

  • Proactive, ownership-driven approach with a focus on long-term reliability.

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or five or more years of practical experience in a comparable role.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience establishing and managing company cybersecurity protocols.

  • Experience with DevOps, platform hosting, or cloud infrastructure monitoring.

  • Familiarity with cloud dashboards, alarms, logs, identity permissions, secrets management, and routine configuration or patching.

  • Experience with a security awareness training platform.
