We are seeking Energy Educators for our residential energy efficiency program that provides free basic home energy consultations and direct installations of low-cost energy-saving supplies to residential energy customers. Â
We are seeking motivated, reliable professionals with knowledge in energy efficiency and strong communication and customer service skills. Â SEEL is looking for results-oriented performers with proven ability to deliver value through positive and clear communication, superior customer service and accurate data tracking and reporting. Â Educators must be dependable, flexible and willing to take direction. Â
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•   Work independently or with a Direct Installer to conduct home energy consultations.  This includes travel to the home, 35-55 minute meeting with the customer; reviewing reports and marketing collateral, collecting data electronically, maintaining supply inventory, and reporting to the Project Manager and field coordinators
•   Communicate project goals and convey a positive image of project partners
•   Perform walk-through energy assessments and record findings (e.g. lighting, thermostat type, furnace efficiency and condition)
•   Teach customers about the benefits and point out opportunities for simple low- and no-cost energy conservation measures, such as sealing air leaks and changing furnace filters
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•  Associate Degree or skilled trades experience
- Valid driver’s License, and good driving record, and ability to pass screening to operate company vehicles.
•   Ability to pass a criminal background investigation; no felony convictions
•   Ability to pass a standard drug test.  
QUALIFICATIONS
•   Training in HVAC, weatherization and/or energy efficiency principles and techniques (Preferred)
•   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•   Comfortable working in an urban setting with people of diverse backgrounds
•   Exercises good judgment and maintains safety at all times
•   Able to lead, motivate, be diplomatic, and build positive rapport with customers
•   Able to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals
•   Able to work independently and with a team
•   Able to bend, stoop and reach over the shoulders
•   Able to learn and work with new technology (e.g. handheld data devices) Â
