Fitness Childcare Attendant

The Schultz Campus is located in Akron and provides an array of services to the surrounding community. The Shaw JCC is our community center on campus that offers aquatics, fitness and childcare. 

We are looking for mature individuals to provide childcare so our member can focus on their fitness routine. The childcare attendant will have availability on Monday/Wednesday from 4:30pm - 7:30pm and enjoy spending time with children of various ages. Additional responsibilities include:

• Greet parent and child with enthusiasm and make them feel welcomed.
• Confirm reservations and track payment by viewing receipt or marking childcare passes. Also track late pick-ups to charge accordingly. 
• Comfortable communicating to parents regarding special care needs, allergies and providing feedback about the child’s visit.
• Confirm parent/guardian location within building and phone number for emergency purposes. 
• Provide comfort to child, when needed, if separation issues arise.
• Responsible for changing diapers, bottle feeding, and napping, as needed. 
• Responsible for ensuring the entire room is neat, clean, and sanitized, as well as all toys.

This childare attendant will also need to engage with children of all ages and developmental stages with age-appropriate activities and develop a rapport with each child. If you love children and have the flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, or evenings, you have the place with us!
