Accurate inventory is essential to keeping our warehouse moving and making sure our customers receive the products they need.

At Ferraro Foods, our Inventory Control team works behind the scenes to maintain inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, monitor product quality, and support the day-to-day flow of our warehouse operation.

We’re looking for an Inventory Control Associate who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast-paced warehouse team.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Perform daily physical inventory counts and audits and maintain detailed documentation of results
  • Monitor date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory using system reports
  • Research inventory transactions and exceptions to identify root causes and resolve discrepancies
  • Process inventory adjustments to maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Research driver shorts, out-of-stocks, and other inventory discrepancies and report trends or recurring errors to leadership
  • Prepare, compile, and maintain inventory reports and records in both electronic and printed formats
  • Research weight variances, receiving, put-away and letdown issues, and damaged product resulting from warehouse moves
  • Evaluate, verify, and process driver-returned products
  • Reconcile routes, invoices, and other inventory-related documentation
  • Perform clerical tasks and audits that support warehouse logistics
  • Conduct product slotting and support proper inventory placement
  • Utilize computer and warehouse management systems, including Power Warehouse
  • Follow Company standards for safety, product handling, and food safety

The Ingredients for Success

  • Minimum of 2 years of inventory control or clerical experience within a distribution center environment
  • Working knowledge of inventory control systems and processes
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management, with basic Microsoft Word experience
  • Ability to research and resolve routine problems, analyze more complex situations, and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
  • HACCP/SQF experience preferred
  • Ability to operate and become certified on powered industrial equipment, including pallet jacks and stock/cherry pickers
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Ability to work in multiple environments, including ambient, refrigerated, and frozen warehouse areas

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Pay Range: $23.00–$25.00 per hour
  • Travel: Occasional, up to 10%
  • Environment: Office, ambient warehouse, refrigerated, and frozen storage areas
